Posting articles related to films being released in IMAX is becoming a bore considering if it is a major Warner Bros. release you can pretty much guarantee it is heading to IMAX, a-la Matrix sequels, Harry Potter and The Polar Express.
Well, now you can add one more title to the batch as WB’s Batman Begins is getting the HUGE screen treatment as it will be released in IMAX theaters on a day-and-date basis this summer with the theatrical run.
This film marks the eighth time Warners has given one of their films the digitally-remastered IMAX treatments, and in a statement by Warner Bros. distribution chief Dan Fellman he said, “Moviegoers love to experience our event movies in Imax theaters and filmmakers rave about how their work appears on the Imax canvas.”
True, true, true…
Batman Begins opens in theaters everywhere on June 17th and stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Katie Holmes, Cillian Murphy, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, Ken Watanabe, Gary Oldman, Rutger Hauer and Tom Wilkinson to name a few.
The story is obvious based on the title tracing Batman back to his roots until he unveils himself as a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect and an array of high tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city of Gotham.
