Singer Finds Supporting Help for ‘Superman’

It seems Bryan Singer is quite happy with a couple of his former actors as he has cast James Marsden, a.k.a. Cyclops from his X-men films, and Hugh Laurie who stars on the Singer-exec produced FOX series “House,” for roles in Superman Returns.

The Hollywood Reporter goes on to say that Marsden will play Lois Lane’s love interest, Richard White. Laurie is in final negotiations to play Perry White, editor in chief of the Daily Planet. The two characters are related, though the studio declined comment on if they are father and son.

This casting news comes on the heels of the official announcments stating that Beyond the Sea compatriots Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth had been cast as Lex Luthor and Lois Lane respectively.

Superman is a Warner Bros. Pictures production and is currently slated for a summer 2006 release.
