Variety reports that Nicolas Cage is reteaming with Dominic Sena, the director of his 2000 action remake of Gone in 60 Seconds, for a new movie called Season of the Witch, which chronicles the journey of 14th century knights transporting a girl suspected of being the witch responsible for spreading the Black Plague.
Written by Bragi Schut Jr., the film is being produced by Atlas Entertainments Charles Roven and Alex Gartner for Relativity Media and and Columbia Pictures with shooting scheduled to begin in Austria and Hungary some time in early November.
