Universal Pictures has picked up the rights to Lauren Weisberger’s novel “Chasing Harry Winston” for Andy Tennant to direct and Mandalay Pictures to produce, reports Variety.
Gina Wendkos (Fool’s Gold, Hitch, “Princess Diaries” films) will write the adaptation of the book that revolves around three young women who each vow to change their entire lives for the better in the course of the next year. The film will focus and expand upon one of the three storylines.
“Winston” is Weisberger’s third best-selling novel after “The Devil Wears Prada” and “Everyone Worth Knowing.”
