Empire magazine has revealed a new image of Adam Driver’s fearsome villain Kylo Ren from their upcoming winter preview issue feature on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Check out the dark side acolyte in the gallery below!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, and features a new generation of swashbuckling heroes and shadowy villains, as well as the return of fan-favorite smugglers, princesses, and Jedi.

Starring Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Anderson, Christina Chong and Miltos Yerolemou, the J.J. Abrams-directed film will debut in theaters on December 18, 2015.

On a different “Star Wars” front, Donnie Yen has posted a set of three helmet designs from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, two of which are different from those seen on screen previously. While the two on the left are most definitely of the Empire, could the one on the right be a piece of the Rebellion forces trying to steal the Death Star plans?

Directed by Gareth Edwards, “Rogue One” also stars Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Diego Luna (MilkKilling Them Softly), Ben Mendelsohn (“Bloodline,” Mississippi Grind), Jiang Wen (Let the Bullets FlyDevils on the Doorstep), Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland), Mads Mikkelsen (“Hannibal,” Casino Royale), Alan Tudyk (“Firefly”) who plays a performance-capture character in the film, and Riz Ahmed (NightcrawlerFour Lions). The film is scheduled for release on December 16, 2016.
