Chris Carter, whose The X-Files: I Want to Believe opens in theaters on July 25, wrote and is directing Fencewalker, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The dark drama’s cast includes: “The Tudors” star Natalie Dormer; David Cassidy’s daughter, Katie Cassidy; rapper-turned-actor Xzibit; and Derek Magyar and Meckah Brooks.
The trade says the story is a coming-of-age semiautobiographical character piece with no supernatural elements.
The feature is shooting in the Los Angeles area, including in Carter’s hometown of Bellflower.
