CBS Films has picked up Legally Blonde screenwriter Karen McCullah Lutz’s romantic comedy spec script Permission, says Variety.
The story revolves around a married couple in their 30s who give one another permission to sleep with someone else while on separate vacations.
The fledgling CBS Films plans to develop and produce four to six movies a year, with production budgets up to $50 million per film. The films will be released domestically through a U.S. theatrical distribution unit to be established within CBS Films.
