Hugh Jackman on Playing Wolverine One Last Time

While Hugh Jackman has been coy about whether or not Wolverine will make an appearance in the upcoming Deadpool movie and/or X-Men: Apocalypse,  we know that the Untitled Wolverine Sequel, coming March 3, 2017, will be his last time playing the role. Jackman appeared on “LIVE with Kelly and Michael” today and was asked about wrapping up the role he’s played for 17 years. You can watch his response in the player below.

Jackman has appeared as the character in every “X-Men” film to date, from being the focus of 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine to just a cameo in 2011’s X-Men: First Class. His career as the character has lasted seven films.

Writer David James Kelly penned the screenplay for the third “Wolverine” movie, which, according to Sir Patrick Stewart, could see Logan and Professor Xavier teaming up. James Mangold is directing once again.
