Warner Independent and Tobey Maguire’s Maguire Entertainment have acquired “Marry Him! The Case for Settling for Mr. Good Enough,” an article in the March Atlantic Monthly by Lori Gottlieb, reports Variety.
Gottlieb will turn it into a book for Dutton, entitled “Marry Him! Finding Mr. Real.” WIP acquired both the article and book rights.
Maguire will produce, and Mark Ross will oversee the project for his company.
Gottlieb, an NPR commentator, is a 40-year old single mother who conceived her baby through donor sperm. Hardened by the burdens of raising a child alone, she posts the notion that there is no such thing as a dream guy.
