Anne Heche (ABC’s “Men in Trees”) is set to star opposite Ashton Kutcher in the indie romantic comedy Spread, replacing Jennifer Jason Leigh.
The pair will mix it up in the tale of a womanizer and the lover he scorns. Kutcher’s Katalyst production company is producing.
Leigh dropped out of the project Feb. 21 for undisclosed reasons.
The Los Angeles-based production begins shooting with Heche immediately. The film is directed by David Mackenzie from a script by Jason Dean Hall.
