Two More Films Sell at the Sundance Film Festival

Broad Green picked up the Robert Redford-Nick Nolte travelogue dramedy A Walk in the Woods, based on Bill Bryson’s best-selling book, with a high seven-figure P&A commitment, thought to be the second-biggest such commitment at the fest. Directed by Ken Kwapis, it stars Redford as travel writer Bryson who decides to walk thousands of miles across the Appalachian Trail with his old acquaintance played by Nolte. It also stars Emma Thompson, Nick Offerman, Mary Steenburgen and Kristen Schaal.

Another fairly new distributor (who also hasn’t released a single film yet), Bleecker Street has picked up the worldwide distribution rights to I’ll See You in My Dreams, Brett Haley’s drama starring Blythe Danner as a 70-something widow Carol who decides to start dating again as she gets involved with two very different men.
