Jim Field Smith is making his feature directorial debut on the romantic comedy She’s Out of My League for DreamWorks, with Jay Baruchel attached to star.
Based on a spec by Sean Anders and John Morris, the story centers on an average guy who starts dating an extraordinarily beautiful woman who is “way out of his league.” He must overcome his insecurities and the suspicions of his friends and family before he sabotages the relationship and loses her forever.
Tim Dowling (Coxblocker) is penning a rewrite. Eric Gold and Jimmy Miller are producing. DreamWorks has scheduled an early 2008 start date.
