Roger Michell (Venus, Notting Hill) has signed on to direct the New York-set comedy Morning Glory for Paramount.
Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada) is writing the screenplay, which centers on a struggling female news producer and the iconic, temperamental anchorman she recruits to revive a failing network morning show.
Bad Robot’s J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing. Sherryl Clark executive produces.
The studio is eyeing a March start date.
