Michael Cera (Superbad) and Kat Dennings (The 40-Year-Old Virgin) are attached to star in Mandate Pictures’ Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Sony Pictures will distribute worldwide.
Based on the novel by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, the story revolves around two bridge-and-tunnel teenagers, nursing broken hearts, who fall in love during one sleepless night in New York while searching for their favorite band’s unannounced show.
Peter Sollett (Raising Victor Vargas) is directing from a script by Lorene Scafaria.
Mandate has scheduled production to begin late this year.
