Internationalmedia has cancelled the production of Jan de Bont’s $40 million action thriller Stopping Power after losing funding from one of the pic’s financial backers.
The movie, in which John Cusack was to star, was a co-production between Internationalmedia subsidiary Intermedia and German f/x house Action Concept and was set to start filming shortly in Berlin.
A separate production subsidiary set up for the film, IM Stopping Power, has filed for insolvency as a result.
