Plum Pictures will produce high school comedy Bart Got a Room and has signed William H. Macy to topline the project, says Variety.
Cheryl Hines will also star in the movie, which centers on a teen trying to find a prom date amid the tumult of his parents’ failing marriage. The movie is set among the palm trees and retirees of Hollywood, Florida.
Brian Hecker will direct from his own script; Steven Kaplan and Alia Shawkat co-star as the title character and his friend, respectively.
