Writer/director Chris Kentis and producer Laura Lau are reteaming on an untitled thriller for Paramount Vantage — their first film since indie hit Open Water.
Kentis wrote and will direct the Vantage project, which is eyeing an early 2008 start.
The story revolves around a young woman who is arrested for a crime she didn’t commit and plunged into a state of confusion and psychological terror as she defends herself.
Several month ago, Kentis inked a deal to direct Indianapolis for Warner Bros. The project is based on the WWII sinking of the USS Indianapolis, which left a crew of 900 floating in shark-infested waters for five days. Lau is one of the producers on the project.
