Screen Gems has acquired English-language remake rights to Der Bewegte Mann (Maybe… Maybe Not).
Based on Ralph Konig’s comics “Der Bewegte Mann” and “Pretty Baby,” Maybe…Maybe Not centers on a womanizer who moves in with an elderly gay man after his girlfriend kicks him out. He soon enlists the help of his new roommate and his circle of gay friends to win her back.
Robert Kulzer is producing the film for Constantin Film.
Sonke Wortmann directed the original version that Bernd Eichinger produced. It made $46 million in Germany to become the country’s highest-grossing local film of 1995.
