Rogue Pictures has optioned Jeremy Passmore’s thriller spec Summer’s End for Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes to produce.
The project revolves around a group of teens in a small Oregon town who survive a deadly virus that wipes out the adult population and must fight for their lives when the military attempts to quarantine the area.
Passmore’s penning a rewrite of the project. Platinum Dunes’ Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller will produce; the company’s Matt Smith is co-producing.
Passmore is rewriting The Prince with writing partner Andre Fabrizio for John Carpenter to direct.
