Cast Set for National Lampoon’s Ratko

National Lampoon has set its cast for its next feature, National Lampoon’s Ratko: The Dictator’s Son. The picture, directed by Savage Steve Holland, commenced production last week in and around Vancouver.

Efren Ramirez (Napoleon Dynamite, Employee of the Month) has signed on to play the title character, joined by Katrina Bowden (“30 Rock”) as Holly, his love interest, and local Jeff Ballard (John Tucker Must Die, She’s The Man, Agent Cody Banks) as his off-kilter roommate.

Curtis Armstrong (Van Wilder, Revenge of the Nerds, Dodgeball), Dennis Haskins (“Saved by the Bell”) and Charles Fleischer (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Zodiac) all also play key roles.

National Lampoon’s Ratko: The Dictator’s Son is a fish-out-of-water-story, about a dictator’s son who heads to America to attend college. “Ratko: The Dictator’s Son” was written by Robert Mittenthal (Cry Baby Lane) and Michael Rubiner (Rootboy) and is co-produced by InterMedia and produced in association with Cinetel Films.
