Jude Law and Forest Whitaker are set to topline the futuristic adventure thriller Repossession Mambo for Universal Pictures, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Miguel Sapochnik, a one-time storyboard artist, will make his feature directorial debut on the film, which centers on a repo man made up of artificial organs who, after receiving a heart transplant, struggles to make payments and must go on the run from his former partner.
Eric Garcia and Garrett Lerner wrote the screenplay. Scott Stuber and Mary Parent are producing.
The studio is eyeing a September start date for the film.
