20th Century Fox has hired Erica Rothschild to adapt R.L. Stine’s multi-novel juvenile fiction series “Rotten School.”
Set at a zany boarding school, the story centers on class punk Bernie Bridges as he schemes against his teachers and rival students.
The first book in the series was published in 2005 by HarperCollins.
Fox also is teaming with Stine to bring his best-selling kids horror series “Goosebumps” to the big screen. Although the two series are aimed at the same audience, “Rotten School” contains more pranks and less scares than “Goosebumps.”
