John Stockwell will direct Susan Sarandon and daughter Eva Amurri in Middle of Nowhere, a bittersweet romantic comedy about a clashing mother and daughter, says Variety. Michelle Morgan wrote the script.
Amurri (Saved) plays Grace, a young woman whose irresponsible mother (Sarandon) blows her college fund on her younger sister’s beauty pageant campaign.
Gary Michael Walters will executive produce and Brian Ross and Richard Walters will co-produce.
The film will begin production in September.
