Nala Films has signed Eduardo Rodriguez to direct the horror-thriller Open Grave for a summer start, reports Variety.
Emilio Diez Barroso and Darlene Caamano Loquet of Nala Films are producing along with Jon Shestack and Jeremy Stein of Jon Shestack Prods.
The script, written by Eddie and Chris Borey, centers on man who awakens in a pit full of dead bodies with no memory of who he is or how he got there. Rescued by a group of fellow amnesiacs, he must determine who among them may be the killer.
Rodriguez directed the short film Daughter at Florida State U., leading to his assignment to helm Curandero for Dimension and Robert Rodriguez, who wrote and produced. He’s also attached to Fox’s Dread, with Clive Barker producing.
