Marcia Gay Harden is set to star in painter Thomas Kinkade biopic The Christmas Cottage for Lionsgate and the Firm, reports Variety.
Jared Padalecki (“Supernatural”) stars as Kinkade and Harden will play the painter’s mother. Peter O’Toole also is set to star.
Helmer Michael Campus will begin shooting in Vancouver this month from a script by Ken LaZebnik. The story is based on the events that led to Kinkade becoming an artist.
