Listen to Billy Boyd’s Full End Credits Song for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

You might want some tissues for this one. Billboard has just posted, in its entirety, Billy Boyd’s emotional new song, “The Last Goodbye,” set to be featured in the end credits of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

“We focused on not just the final installment,” says Boyd, well known for playing Pippin in all three The Lords of the Rings films, “but moreso on this 10-year epic adventure. A song to sum up the six movies.”

It’s looking quite likely that The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will mark Jackson’s final foray into Middle-earth, so “The Last Goodbye” is, in many ways, a final farewell to these cinematic adapted works of J.R.R. Tolkien. Give the song a listen in the player below and catch the film in theaters December 17.
