Jessica Chastain Demands Respect in the First Clip from A Most Violent Year

The first clip from A Most Violent Year, the latest from writer/director J.C. Chandor (Margin Call, All is Lost), has just been released and it features star Jessica Chastain detailing exactly why her character isn’t someone you want to mess with. Check it out in the player below!

Also starring Jessica Chastain and Albert Brooks, A Most Violent Year is set during the winter of 1981 — statistically one of the most crime-ridden of New York City’s history — the film follows the lives of an immigrant and his family as they attempt to capitalize on the American Dream, while the rampant violence, decay, and corruption of the day drag them in and threaten to destroy all they have built.

A Most Violent Year hits theaters in New York and Los Angeles on December 31 with plans to expand in early 2015.
