Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots Reunite for Green Room

After their great chemistry together in 2011’s Fright Night remake, Heat Vision is reporting that Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots will share the screen again in Green Room, a thriller from Blue Ruin filmmaker Jeremy Saulnier.

The indie film follows a singer (Yelchin) whose punk band is targeted for death after they witness a murder during a show. The band finds themselves ironically trapped in the green room of a middle-of-nowhere venue, with Poots playing a skinhead who helps the musicians after her friend is killed.

Green Room will also star Alia Shawkat (“Arrested Development”), Callum Turner (Queen and Country), Joe Cole (“Peaky Blinders”), Macon Blair (Blue Ruin) and Mark Webber (Laggies), and begins shooting later this month in Portland.

Yelchin, who is expected to return as Chekov in Star Trek 3 and also has Joe Dante’s Burying the Ex playing the festival circuit, made news yesterday by appearing in a photo supporting his Dying of the Light director Paul Schrader, who has been taken off of his own film. Imogen Poots will next star in Peter Bogdanovich’s She’s Funny That Way and Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups.
