Arrested Development Writer Takes on Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo’s New Series

“Arrested Development” producer and writer Brad Copeland has, according to a story today at Deadline, signed on to write ABC’s upcoming series that will reunite Vacation stars Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo.

The series, which has not yet been given a title, is based on an idea by Aaron Kaplan and tells the story of a senior citizen couple who wind up raising their grandchildren despite the fact that they’d rather be doing anything else.

Chase and D’Angelo are also reuniting on the big screen for New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures’ Vacation, which is slated to begin production next week.

Copeland and Kapalan are both executive producing.
