Relativity Picks Up The Woman in Black Sequel for Seven Figures

Although the Toronto International Film Festival only just kicked off a few hours ago, Deadline brings word that Hammer and eOne’s The Woman in Black 2 (formerly subtitled “Angels of Death”) has just been acquired by Relativity Media for US distribution.

The original Woman in Black, starring Daniel Radcliffe, was released in 2012 by CBS Films, and it grossed over $127 million at the global box office.

Directed by Tom Harper and written by Jon Croker, the second film stars Jeremy Irvine, Phoebe Fox and Helen McCrory.

The Woman in Black 2 will continue the story four decades later. Seized by the government during World War II, the sudden arrival of a group of evacuated children at Eel Marsh House awakens its darkest inhabitant.
