Bond 24 to Film Key Sequence in Rome

Last month, it was revealed that production on the upcoming 24th James Bond film had been delayed as the script went through some re-writes. With production now slated to begin in December of this year, MI6-HQ brings word from Lazio Film Commission President Luciano Sovena that a key scene in the upcoming film will be shot in Rome.

“I met the producers of the Bond series, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson,” Sovena told many Italian outlets, “and we discussed the project. One of the key scenes, among the most spectacular in the film, will be a car chase in Via Quattro Fontane. I’m already excited. I hope that the City streamlines the procedures for the granting of permits, it would be a shame to miss this great opportunity because of the bureaucracy.”

Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw are returning for the 24th installment, which will again be directed by Skyfall helmer Sam Mendes. Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson will produce.

Still without an official title, Bond 24 is scheduled to hit theaters on November 6, 2015.
