Steve Carell to Lead Brooklyn Family Robinson

Walt Disney Pictures has, according to a story today at The Hollywood Reporter, set Steve Carell to headline an upcoming live-action comedy titled Brooklyn Family Robinson. It arrives from screenwriter David Renolds who, along with Andrew Stanton and Bob Reynolds, penned Finding Nemo.

Plot details for Brooklyn Family Robinson are few, but it appears to follow a father who moves his family from New York City to a tropical island.

Carell, who also plays a patriarch in Disney’s upcoming Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, will produce Brooklyn Family Robinson alongside Vance DeGeneres, Charlie Hartsock, David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. Kristin Burr will oversee for Disney.
