Greg Jacobs Set to Deliver Magic Mike XXL

Previously rumored for the job, Greg Jacobs is set to helm the upcoming sequel to Steven Soderbergh’s Magic Mike, reports Indiewire today. They’ve also learned the title of the big screen followup to the 2012 hit: Magic Mike XXL.

Jacobs, longtime assistant director to Soderbergh, helmed the 2007 thriller Wind Chill, starring Emily Blunt.

Set in the world of male strippers, the original Magic Mike starred Channing Tatum in a story inspired by his real life. The film follows Mike (Tatum) as he takes a young dancer called The Kid (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing and schools him in the fine arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money.

Although no official announcements have been made as of yet, most of the cast from the original film should be returning.
