It’s a busy day for colorful movie characters singing self-referentially about their respective sequels! Earlier, Muppets Most Wanted debuted a song and dance number dedicated to sequels (watch it here) and now Rio 2 has just released a new clip that features Bruno Mars’ Roberto serenading Anne Hathaway’s Jewel with a song appropriately titled “Welcome Back.” Check it out in the player below with another recent clip beneath!
The Blue Sky Studios film also features the voices of Jesse Eisenberg, Will.i.am, Jemaine Clement, Tracey Morgan, Leslie Mann, George Lopez, Rodrigo Santoro, Andy Garcia, Rita Moreno, Natalie Morales, Kristen Chenworth and Jamie Foxx.
The sequel finds Jewel, Blu (Eisenberg) and their three kids leaving their domesticated life in that magical city for a journey to the Amazon. They encounter a menagerie of characters who are born to be wild.
Rio 2 hits the big screen April 11.
