Gary Oldman in Talks for Star Wars: Episode VII?

Since its announcement back in 2012, we’ve heard a lot of casting rumors for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII. From “Breaking Bad” star Jesse Plemons to Benedict Cumberbatch, we’ve heard almost every name in the book, but very few of these rumors have come from the actors themselves. In a recent interview with Sky Movies, veteran actor Gary Oldman was asked if he had any interest in joining the new film, given he’s been in so many blockbuster franchises throughout his career.

“They’ve called, yeah,” Oldman replied, hesitating on a follow-up. “I’m more cynical about it (casting) now, I believe it when I’m on the plane home. You know, the deal isn’t done (until then). But yeah, they’ve inquired.”
