Hannah Ware Boards Hitman Reboot Agent 47

Hannah Ware has taken the female lead in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming big screen reboot of the Hitman video game franchise, Agent 47. Variety has the news, reporting that Ware will join the previously-attached Zachary Quinto and Rupert Friend (who replaces the late Paul Walker in the title role).

The Square Enix title (previously from Eidos Interactive) was turned into the 2007 movie Hitman with Timothy Olyphant in the lead. The Xavier Gens-directed action thriller earned just under $100 million at worldwide theaters.

Ware’s big screen credits include Steve McQueen’s Shame, Spike Lee’s Oldboy and Kevin Smith’s Cop Out. On television, she’s known for leading roles on “Boss” and “Betrayal.”

Skip Woods, who wrote the first film, is also providing the script for Agent 47 with Michael Finch. Commercials director Aleksander Bach is attached to helm. Producers include Chuck Gordon, Alex Young and Adrian Askarieh. Daniel Alter will serve as executive producer.
