CS Video: Matt Damon, John Goodman and Bob Balaban Talk The Monuments Men

Marking George Clooney’s fifth big screen effort as director and star, The Monuments Men hits theaters this Friday, delivering a true history tale that speaks to the importance of art and celebrates the extraordinary lengths that great men have gone to to protect it.

Clooney joins Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Jean Dujardin, Bob Balaban, Hugh Bonneville and John Goodman to form, on screen, the platoon nicknamed “The Monuments Men,” who, at the tail-end of World War II, were tasked with traveling into Axis-controlled nations in the hopes of tracking down hidden caches of stolen artwork that had been plundered by Nazi forces.

ComingSoon.net sat down with Damon, Balaban and Goodman to discuss Clooney’s stylish approach to the film, blending historical fact with dramatic action for an end-result that is equal parts The Great Escape and Ocean’s 11.
