Who’s Reading for the Kyle Reese Role in the Terminator Reboot?

The Kyle Reese role is said to be the last major part yet to be cast in director Alan Taylor’s upcoming Terminator reboot (rumored to be titled Terminator: Genesis) and, according to Variety, a final decision isn’t far off. They list five names set to test for the role early next week, including Wilson Bethel (“Hart of Dixie”), Thomas Cocquerel (“Anzac Girls”), Jai Courtney (A Good Day to Die Hard), Boyd Holbrook (Milk) and Sam Reid (Anonymous).

The first in a stand-alone trilogy, the new Terminator is already set to star Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke and Emilia Clarke. It will be produced by Megan Ellison of Annapurna and David Ellison of Skydance. Dana Goldberg and Paul Schwake of Skydance will serve as executive producers. Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) are attached to write the screenplay.
