The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Viral Paints the Webslinger as a Hero

The viral Daily Bugle website for Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been updated again today, this time with a brief story that counter’s J. Jonah Jameson’s October editorial trashing the webslinger along with the above photo that demonstrates the support New York City has for the masked hero. Click on the image for a larger version.

“JJJ once wrote a column decrying the curse of graffiti ? ‘the hoodlum?s billboard’ ? and called for a citywide crackdown,” faux staff reporter Melissa Hutchins writes. “But sometimes a curse is a blessing. These walls are covered in ‘illegal art’ ? but this alley has never been safer.”

Opening in theaters on May 2, 2014, the Marc Webb-directed sequel also stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field, Chris Cooper, B.J. Novak and Sarah Gadon.
