Warner Bros. has plans to bring to the screen an untitled spec script from John Krasinski and Oren Uziel. Deadline has the news, reporting that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are set to produce the project through their Pearl Street Films.
Best known for his starring role on the American version of “The Office,” Krasinski has been very active behind the camera as well. He wrote and directed 2009’s Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, based on David Foster Wallace’s anthology, and he previously teamed with Damon for the screenplay to last year’s Promised Land. He and Damon also starred.
Uziel, meanwhile, wrote the Black List comedy Kitchen Sink, which is now in production for a January 9, 2015 release (appropriately kicking off a “kitchen sink” year for studio blockbusters). He will also serve as executive producer on the project alongside Scott Z. Burns.
