Newly Released American Hustle Images Include Stylish Costume Illustrations

Among the new images released today from writer/director David O. Russell’s American Hustle are a trio of stylized paintings that show off the retro dresses worn by Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence in the upcoming Columbia Pictures release. Illustrated by Warren Manser and featuring dresses designed by Michael Wilkinson, you can check them out in the gallery viewer below!

Also Starring Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner, American Hustle is set for a December 13 release in New York and Los Angeles, expanding nationwide on December 18.

A fictional film set in the alluring world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock the States, American Hustle tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld (Bale), who along with his equally cunning and seductive British partner Sydney Prosser (Adams) is forced to work for a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that?s as dangerous as it is enchanting. Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds. Irving?s unpredictable wife Rosalyn (Lawrence) could be the one to pull the thread that brings the entire world crashing down.
