Oscar Isaac Boards J.C. Chandor’s A Most Violent Year

The cast of writer-director J.C. Chandor’s upcoming drama A Most Violent Year has changed slightly. The Hollywood Reporter today brings word that Inside Llewyn Davis star Oscar Isaac will take over from the previously-announced Javier Bardem. Jessica Chastain remains attached to play a leading role.

A Most Violent Year is set in 1981, statistically said to be among the most violent years on record. Isaac will play the lead, a Hispanic man who comes to America and finds great success at business.

The film will be produced by Neal Dodson and Anna Gerb.
