Asa Butterfield Eyes King of the Kastle

Asa Butterfield, the star of Martin Scorsese’s Hugo and Gavin Hood’s Ender’s Game, is eyeing a new role in Benaroya Pictures’ upcoming King of the Kastle. TheWrap has the news, reporting that Butterfield would join Clive Owen and Jacki Weaver in the comedy, written and to be directed by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka.

Owen will play womanizer who becomes the target of a teen’s blackmail plot. Butterfield would play that antagonistic teen.

Gatewood and Tanaka are making their directorial debut with King of the Kastle. They’re best known for providing the screenplay to David Gordon Green’s 2011 comedy The Sitter. Michael Benaroya and Jonathan Gordon are both attached to produce.
