Trollhunter writer and director André Øvredal has lined up a new genre project with The Autopsy of Jane Doe. Variety reports that Øvredal will helm the project with an original screenplay by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing.
The Autopsy of Jane Doe is said to follow a family of morticians who receive the body of a beautiful young woman whose death and identity are a mystery.
Goldcrest Films is financing the project with Impostor Pictures’ Fred Berger and Eric Garcia producing alongside 42’s Rory Aitken and Ben Pugh. Pascal Degove and Nick Quested will executive produce.
The Autopsy of Jane Doe is planning to shoot in London this winter.
