Dylan McDermott Takes on Survivor

On the heels of news yesterday that saw Angela Bassett, Pierce Brosnan, Milla Jovovich and Emma Thompson joining the cast of director James McTeigue’s Survivor comes word, via Deadline, that Dylan McDermott is also set for a leading role.

The film, scripted by Phil Shelby, follows an American woman (Jovovich) working in London for the U.S. State Department. When her offices are bombed, she, the lone survivor, finds herself caught up in a conspiratorial plot, leading to her becoming a fugitive from the law. She only has until New Year’s Eve to clear her name and stop another targeted attack.

McDermott, who will play Jovovich’s character’s boss and boyfriend, was recently on the big screen in Antoine Fuqua’s Olympus Has Fallen and on the small screen in both “American Horror Story” and “Hostages.”

Survivor is targeting a January 2014 shoot with production set to take place in London.
