Tom Wilkinson Joins Good People

Millennium Films has announced that filming has begun on their thriller Good People at England’s Shepperton Studios with Oscar nominee Tom Wilkinson joining the cast of James Franco, Kate Hudson and Omar Sy.

Wilkinson is a very prolific British actor who has received two Oscar nominations, the first for Todd Field’s In the Bedroom and the second for Tony Gilroy’s Michael Clayton, although CS readers may be more familiar with him for his turn as Carmine Falcone in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins.

Millennium has also provided a few more details about the thriller based on the novel by Marcus Sakey with a new plot summary:

Good People is a contemporary thriller about an American couple living in London who fall into severe debt renovating his family’s home. And then they find the tenant in their downstairs apartment has passed away and left $200,000 cash. All they have to do is take the money and their problems will be solved. So they do. That is when very bad things start happening to good people.

The film marks the English language debut of Oscar-nominated Danish director Henrik Genz (Terribly Happy), working from a screenplay by Kelly Masterson, Paul Grellong and Christina Hodson.
