With This is the End, their first feature film as writer-directors, hitting theaters June 12, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen have found their next project in Sell Out. The Wrap reports that the comedy duo are coming aboard to produce a big screen adaptation of Simon Rich’s novella, which ran earlier this year in the pages of The New Yorker.
The story (which you can read by by clicking here) follows Rich’s fictional adventures with his great-great-grandfather who, preserved for a century in pickle brine, explores the bizarre world that is present-day Brooklyn.
It is noted that Rogen does not plan to star this time out, but he and Goldberg will be joined as producers by Rich himself and James Weaver.
