Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo Make Vacation Plans

Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo are in talks to reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold in Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley’s sequel/reboot Vacation, Variety reports. They would join Ed Helms and, likely, Christina Applegate, who is also said to be in talks.

As in the 1983 original, the new film follows the misadventures of the now-adult Rusty Griswold (Helms), who, along with his own family, heads off on a vacation trip to Walley World.

“It’s catching up with the family now and Rusty will be played by Ed Helms,” Goldstein told ComingSoon.net in a recent interview. “He’s taking his own family on a trip to Walley World because he remembers that trip being so great.”

Chase, whose final episodes of “Community” are airing now, recently teamed with D’Angelo for a series of Old Navy ads where both played their Vacation characters.
