James Bond Actors Will Not Appear Together at the Oscars

Ever since it was announced that this year’s Oscars would feature a special celebration for the 50th Anniversary of the James Bond franchise, it has been rumored that each actor that has played the role will appear together on stage. Tucked away in an interview with Deadline, Oscar telecast producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron confirmed that this isn’t in the cards.

“It’s something else, something very unique and very exciting but no, we’re not getting the Bonds together”.

The latest Bond film Skyfall has been nominated for five Academy Awards this year including Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Score and Best Song. Singer Adele will perform the film’s Oscar-nominated theme song during the ceremony.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2012 will be presented on Oscar® Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the Dolby Theatre™ at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live on the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries worldwide.
