Oscar

One of John Landis’ most overlooked films, this 1991 comedy stars Sylvester Stallone as a 1930’s gangster trying to go straight. Features great supporting turns by Don Ameche, Tim Curry, Peter Riegert, Marisa Tomei and the legendary Kirk Douglas as Sly’s father. The disc itself features an interview with Landis.

Deep Red

Dario Argento’s gory giallo mystery stars Blow-Up’s David Hemmings as a piano player who witnesses the brutal murder of a psychic neighbor and becomes embroiled in bloody intrigue. Featuring dynamic camerawork and a jammin’ score by Goblin, the Arrow release features a new 4K scan of the original director’s cut (many of the cut scenes are not dubbed in English), a tour of a shop dedicated to the film, interviews with Daria Nicolodi and Claudio Simonetti and more!

Bloody Spear at Mount Fuji

Arrow also releases this little-seen samurai film set during the Edo period. The tragicomic road movie follows a samurai, his two servants and the various people they meet on their journey.
